Who is responsible
Would You Make It? is operated by Tracy Tenney, a sole proprietor, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: support@wouldyoumakeit.com.
What we collect and why
- Game progress on your device. Your current run, results, and recently played scenarios are saved in your browser's local storage so you can resume and avoid repeats. This stays on your device; we do not receive it.
- Purchase records. If you buy the Horror Pack, we receive from Paddle your email address, Paddle transaction and customer IDs, and the purchase status (paid, refunded, or charged back). We use this to deliver and verify your unlock and to handle refunds. We never receive your card details.
- Device unlock pass. After a purchase or restore, your browser stores a random unlock token. We store only a scrambled (hashed) copy linked to your purchase, to confirm the unlock is valid.
- Restore requests. If you restore a purchase, we process the email you enter and store a hashed one-time code, attempt count, and expiry time, and send the code to that email.
- Support emails. If you email us, we receive your email address and message to answer you.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider processes IP addresses and basic request and error logs needed to run and secure the site. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address.
We have no user accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking cookies.
Legal basis
We process purchase, unlock, and restore data to perform our contract with you; technical and security data under our legitimate interest in running a safe service; support emails to respond to you; and records required by law under legal obligation.
Who we share data with
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of the Horror Pack, payments, tax compliance, invoicing, and refunds. See Paddle's privacy notice.
- Service providers that host the site and database and deliver our restore-code emails, and our email provider for support messages.
- Professional advisers (such as legal or accounting) where needed.
- Authorities where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data. Some providers may process data outside your country under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Purchase records are kept while your unlock is active and as long as needed for tax and accounting law. Restore codes expire after 10 minutes and are deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to help you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our use of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Email support@wouldyoumakeit.com and we will respond within one month. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
We use encrypted connections, hash unlock tokens and restore codes, and restrict database access to our server.
Local storage
We use only essential browser storage for game progress and your unlock pass. You can clear it in your browser settings; doing so resets progress and removes the unlock from that device (you can restore it by email).
Children
The Game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
We may update this policy; the effective date above shows the latest version.
